Here are some stories some families have shared about their experiences so far with FUSION. This is so exciting to see families get excited about FUSION!
During the month of September one family was encouraged to reinforce the importance of wise decision making. When shopping in a store, their son was not making a wise choice by running around breakable items for sale. He ended up breaking one of them so his mother then was able to speak to him about his decision and why it was not wise. As a family they even discussed it during their FUSION time! This was valuable for them because the content for this month was about wisdom and it applied directly to a situation they had just had.
One family has used FUSION as not only a motivation to talk about what their kids are learning at church, but to consistently sit down all together as a family once a week during their FUSION time. For this family in particular in the past they had not prioritized a time in their schedule to sit down as a family consistently.
This past month a mother expressed her excitement when her preschool child was able to explain to her how she helped a friend make a wise choice. The preschooler explained to her that her friend told her to jump on a toy that wasn’t meant for jumping on. When the preschooler refused she also told her friend to not jump on the toy either because it might break the toy and that is not a wise choice and God wants us to make wise choices!
Comment from a mom:
We’re enjoying Fusion. We’ve found it really easy to scale up for our 10 and 13 year olds. We enjoyed having a whole family memory verse and a different format for our evening devotions on occasion. It was really late last night so I just started the packet with asking the kids what makes you special. The kids are suppose to be thinking about it today so tonight we can have a thoughtful discussion and finish the lesson. The memory verse is really easy this month! Will there be someone at the parties to listen to the kids who’ve memorized the verses? I know keeping it shorter and only one night a week is the goal so families actually do it. Just wanted to let you know it does stretch out and up well too!
